Projects

Our Projects

Projects at rock imagery sites include mapping, photography, tracing, condition assessment, graffiti removal, collection of samples for physical analysis and dating, design of psychological barriers, interpretation and presentation, and writing of site management plans. Rock imagery motifs and associated natural layers are interpreted like archaeological deposits; complicated direct overlaps are recorded in Harris Diagram formats.

Archaeology encompasses limited excavation and detailed descriptions of cultural, historical, and environmental contexts, as well as research questions, fieldwork and laboratory methods, field excavation results, laboratory identification results, and syntheses. Stratum adds graphics to reports, including maps, site and feature drawings, excavation plan and profile drawings, radiocarbon date sequences, statistical graphs, artifact drawings, and overall synthesis diagrams.
